Call for papers

The second joint workshop aims at further fostering collaboration of Austria‘s computer vision and robotics communities and of discussing emerging topics in both fields. We strive for presentations that will be of interest for both of the scientific groups in joint sessions and look forward to the presentation
and discussion of research progress as well as current projects within the OAGM/AAPR and the Austrian robotics community.

The workshop will be held at Palais Eschenbach in Vienna from 10th to 12th of May 2017. A specific goal is to strengthen the cooperation between academia and industry. Therefore, the contributions and participation from industry is strongly encouraged, e.g., with short spotlight papers. The general topics of the workshop include but are not limited to:

  • March 1, 2017: Submission deadline
  • March 15, 2017: Extended submission deadline
  • April 7, 2017: Notification of acceptance
  • April 30, 2017: Camera-ready paper, deadline for registration
  • May 10-12, 2017: Joint Workshop

Submission Types

  • Research Paper (4-6 pages)
  • Industrial or scientific spotlight (1-2 pages)

Paper Electronic Submission

All submission types should be submitted before the deadline via the EasyChair conference system (


Papers should be formatted according to the style of IEEE R&A conferences (download).


Please indicate the submission type: (a) Research paper or (b) industrial or scientific spotlight paper.


We strongly encourage students to submit as principal (first) author a paper to this joint workshop. ARW and OAGM/AAPR each donate a best paper award for the best student paper presented at the workshop.


All submissions will be subject to peer-review by the program committee and notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the corresponding author. Only submissions with at least one author as registered and presenting participant will be included in the workshop proceedings. Workshop proceedings will be published in digital format (with ISBN).
